Everything is linked by a fine thread. The main idea of my work is the mixture and the union through collage on recycled curious supports.

I chose this technique because it allows me to capture the vintage and the romantic with pop culture and today. The materials speak to me, the colors and shapes ask me to change places and I make new compositions that are part of a relaxing atmosphere and that takes you to the common place of cutting and pasting again without a mouse, with scissors and white glue.

Cut-out paper dolls are one of the toys that I enjoyed the most in my childhood and I think the desire to go back to basics has influenced a bit. This manifestation is an escape route to capture the images that are stored in the brain.

When I am working, a sense of peace fills me. It’s nice to repeat the process over and over with very different results from each other. The intention of the work is to draw people’s attention to make them see that we have a lot at hand and we do not perceive it. It is having a mini garden of wonders in different objects, which in time will be a small story in a special place in someone’s home.

A paper or magazine cutout can bring joy to ignored objects and make them extraordinary. But to reach more people I move the analog work to digital so that more people can enjoy it.
